Mrs. Jeanie Carol (Gribbin) Hyde

Jeanie Carol (Gribbin) Hyde, 75, of Wylie, Texas, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. She was born in Forsythe, Missouri and was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Warner Gribbin and Doris Bond Gribbin, and son, Chad D. Hyde. She is survived by her son, Christopher G. Hyde of Ithaca, NY; grandchildren Elizabeth Hyde and Tristan Hyde and Elijah Hyde and Isaiah Hyde; daughter-in-law Elsa Hyde; brother Jack Gribbin, Jr (Maripaz) of San Antonio, Tx; sisters D. Kay Gribbin (Elliott Uchiyama) of Murphy, Tx and Lisa Gribbin of Garland, Tx; Companion John Eft of Wylie, Tx; and a host of treasured and beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

Jeanie’s work life as an administrative professional spanned more than 40 years and included working with organizations such as Lance Packing Company, Caltex Petroleum, Goodrich Corporation, the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, and Craft-Barresi Consultants, Ltd. She was most talented in her hobby working with ceramics, crafting some lovely and whimsical figures. She enjoyed working her word puzzles and spending quality time with family and friends. Most of all, Jeanie loved her Lord. She accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at a young age and was always firm in her faith. She is now resting in the arms of our Lord and dancing among the angels.

Services will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South RL Thorton Freeway, Dallas, Tx 75232, on Thursday, January 23, 2025. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM and services will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor Paul Pakebusch, Lakeside Baptist Church, Granbury, Tx officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Land Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society.
