

Jerrine Jean Hart Hilliard of Dallas passed away June 7, 2010. Jerrine was born in Dallas, Texas on May 8, 1927 while her father, W. Neill Hart, was in seminary at SMU, and her mother, Jerrine Elizabeth Oates Hart was a student at SMU. Because her father was a minister, she grew up in various towns in Arkansas. Jerrine graduated from high school in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and earned a Bachelors of History and Political Science from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. She worked as assistant to the Day Care Director of Highland Park United Methodist Church, and as Office Manager for J. Edward Hilliard, Architect. She was active in the Methodist Church, especially in United Methodist Women, and with Dallas Bethlehem Center.
Jerrine is survived by her husband of 61 years, J. Edward Hilliard; sister, Hallie Jo Hart and brother, Neill Hart, of Arkansas; four children, Ronald Hilliard of Plano, (Kathie) Jean Barnes of Tigard, Oregon, Jerrine Berkey of Caracas, Venezuela, and Wylie Hilliard of Grand Prairie; and nine grandchildren. She will be missed by family and friends, including those at Ridgewood Park United Methodist Church and at Dallas Bethlehem Center.
A memorial service will be held at Ridgewood Park United Methodist Church, 6445 E. Lovers Lane in Dallas, on June 22, 2010, at 3:00 pm. Memorials may be made to Ridgewood Park United Methodist Women, or to the Dallas Bethlehem Center Auxiliary.
