Jay was born in Grapevine, Texas to Jesus and Basilisa Rodriguez on February 9, 1998 and was raised in Roanoke, Texas. He graduated from Byron Nelson High School, Class of 2016. He worked as a Forklift Operator for Nestle for four years and achieved the position of Head Safety Trainer.
Jay was a kind, caring, and loving man. He got along with everyone and hated no one. He had a huge heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back if he needed to. He was the type of person that would laugh out loud, with that memorable laugh, out of nowhere because he remembered a joke you told him days ago!
He will be truly missed!
Jay is preceded in death by his sister, Basilisa Rodriguez. He is survived by his pride and joy (his “beloved” 2017 Dodge Charger Scatpack), his siblings Elizabeth Rodriguez along with her husband Oz Matos Fernandez, Jesse Rodriguez along with his wife Christina Rodriguez, and Patrisia Zamarron along with her husband Nicolas Zamarron; parents, Jesus and Basilisa Rodriguez.
He was Uncle and God-Father to Jayden Meza, Sebastian Meza, Yazmine Meza; Uncle to Mariah Rodriguez, Christopher Hernandez, Nathalie Zamarron, and Patrisia Estrada; and great Uncle to Sacred Rivera, and Micah Estrada. Jay was also loved and survived by numerous family and friends.
The pallbearers will be his cousins Robert Garcia, Rolando Garcia, Roman Garcia, Rodrigo Rodriguez, Alex Cantu, and close friend Julian Arsenault.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.calvaryhilldallas.com for the Rodriguez family.
