He was married to Carmela R. Tijerina for sixteen years and they had three children together. In his spare time, he enjoyed cars and spending time with his family.
His family and friends will always remember him as a loving father, grandfather and uncle.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jim P. Tijerina and two sisters, Diana and Teresa Tijerina.
He is survived by his sons, Jim R. Tijerina and Luis A. Tijerina; daughters, Natalie B. Tijerina and Crystal G. Tijerina; mother, Natalie H. Tijerina; brother, Joe A. Tijerina; grandchildren, Natalie Flores, Sophia Flores, Eloy Flores and Paul Castillo; nieces, Starlet Ramirez, Lacey Tijerina and Chloe Peña; nephews, Jim Tijerina and Joe Tijerina; eight great-nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Jim will be held Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247. A Funeral Service will occur Friday, January 3, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247. An Interment will occur Friday, January 3, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.
