Joanie Mary Rees

REES, Joan Mary Joan (Joanie) Mary Rees was born in Hartford, Connecticut on August 30, 1942 to William Keevers and Teresa (Jordan) Keevers. She succumbed to Alzheimer's on December 1, 2017, in Irving, Texas at the age of 75. Joanie attended Dean College in Franklin Massachusetts where she obtained her Associates Degree in Fashion Merchandising. She was incredibly passionate about her career at American Airlines where she worked a number of years as a stewardess. Joanie married her loving husband of over 50 years, Frank Rees, with whom she shared vacations, family and OU football. Together, they formed a beautiful family which includes their daughter, Michelle Clark and her husband, Brian; three grandchildren, Hunter, Samantha and William Clark, and their son, Christopher Rees. Joanie was her doctor's longest, living patient with Alzheimer's disease. After nineteen years of battling Alzheimer's, she was called to be with Our Lord and Savior. The Rees family invites you to join in remembering and celebrating the life of Joanie. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Monica Catholic Church on December 11, 2017 at 12:00 p.m., with a reception being hosted at St. Monica's Family Center following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joanie's honor to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
