

Joe was born in Dallas, Texas on September 14, 1954, to Cruz Hernandez Jimenez and Guadalupe G. Jimenez. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School, where he was an alter boy. Joe was married to Norma Chavarria Jimenez for 34 years.
Joe worked for Dan River and retired from the City of Dallas after 20 years. He was an Alter boy, played soccer, and played pool, being the captain of the La Familia Team.
Joe is preceded in death by his son, Joe(Joey) Jimenez, parents, Cruz and Guadalupe Jimenez; his brothers, Guadalupe Jimenez Jr. and Florencio Jimenez; and his sisters, Beatrice Jimenez Escondon and Angelina Jimenez Alaniz.
Joe is survived by his wife, Norma Jimenez; daughters, Ann Marie Jimenez and Stephanie Jimenez; stepdaughter, Jennifer Patricia Cantu; step son, Anthony Albert Cantu (wife, Mireya) ; grandsons, Ronny Andrade Jr., Fabian Cerda, Leo, Anthony Nicholas Cantu, Nathaniel Ignacio Cantu and Jaythan Romero; granddaughters, Mona Lisa Cerda, Ariel, Sophia Lena Cantu and Clarissa Romero; great-grandsons, Joey Fierro, twins Alexander and Aiden, Michael, and Xander Mateo Upton; great-granddaughter, Vivian; brother, Alberto Jimenez; and his sisters, Annie Rodriguez, Margaret Rodriguez, and Frances Zepeda.
