Joe King

Joe was born Dec. 20, 1963 in Dallas, TX, and passed away Oct. 21, 2015.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Shirley King earlier this year, and they are now rejoicing at their reunion in Heaven.

Joe is survived by his daughter, Angela Rowan; son, Jake King and wife Melady; son, Zack Woolverton and wife Alisha; granddaughters, Kyleigh King, Dyiamond Rowan, and Laney Woolverton; grandson, Gage Woolverton; sisters, Tina Fitch and husband Jimmy, Elizabeth Taylor and husband Gary; brothers, Rickey King, and Tommie Stone and wife Jennifer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Joe loved his family more than life itself. He was always there for everyone, but did not mind helping anyone that was willing to help themselves, as he was not an enabler. He passed along to his kids the gift of being strong but fair, and doing the right thing for everyone.

Joe King, we love you. Now, go home and be with your only true love. She is waiting there for you with open arms.

Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 26 from 4 to 8pm, and Funeral Services will be Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 2:00pm, all at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
