Joe R. Torres Sr., age 83, passed away on July 4, 2017 in Dallas, TX. He was born on February 24, 1934 in Dallas, TX to Antonio and Balbina Torres. Joe was raised in West Dallas. He worked at Riverside Press for more than 20 years. In his spare time, Joe enjoyed golf and spending time with family and friends. His family and friends will always remember him as a caring and loving man who loved his children and family members whole heartily. He is preceded in death by his brother; Chavello Torres and sister in law; Nancy Torres. He is survived by his son; Joe R. Torres Jr. and daughter; Evelyn K. Gomez and her husband, Michael E. Gomez, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. His brothers; Casildo Torres and Frank Torres, sisters; Enedina Gallegos and Pauline Quinteros and many nieces and nephews. Joe was the Pan American Champion for 13 years traveling throughout the United States to various tournaments. We would like to thank the Heart Failure Clinic at UT Southwestern.
