John attended UMS in Mobile before earning a Bachelor of Arts in History from Southern Methodist University and later his law degree from Cumberland School of Law. Colleagues on both sides of the aisle respected him not only for his knowledge and professionalism, but for his fairness and integrity. His work touched communities across the country.
