Jack was born on August 7, 1929, in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Creighton University, and the University of Nebraska where he received his degree in electrical engineering and later took course work at Syracuse University. He married his wife Pat in 1953 while serving in the army during the Korean War. After his term in the service, he spent considerable time working for General Electric in Syracuse, eventually moving his family to Dallas where he finished a long career with Texas Instruments. After retiring, he enjoyed volunteering at St Vincent De Paul for many years.
A lover of puns, jokes and family get togethers, Jack enjoyed woodworking, computers and tinkering with electronics, although his real passion was knowing he could fix anything. He was a quiet man who accepted things as they came. His dry humor and wit always brought smiles.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary (Smith) Prusha, sisters Dolores (Prusha) Eckley, Fran (Prusha) Kocsis, Catherine (Prusha) Dworak and brother Don Prusha.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; children, Sue (Cecil) Jones, John (Shannon) Prusha, Steve (Nancy) Prusha, Bill (Melanie) Prusha and David (Lisa) Prusha; as well as 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9643 Ferndale Road, Dallas, 75238.
