John Walling Pugh, a.k.a. “Papaw”, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Father’s Day June 16th 2013, at the age of 89. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Louise Boland Pugh. His body will rest beside hers in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas; but their souls are together again in Heaven. He is survived by his children, Sharon Johns, John A. Pugh, and Debbie Beach and his five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren who remember him with respect and love; also cousin, Jan Walling Wilbanks. A proud WWII Army Air Force veteran, retired Dallas Fireman, and devoted Christ follower who will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Services will be held Friday, June 21, 2013 at 11:00am at the Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home on Garland Road in Dallas Texas. We praise the Lord that our Papaw was called home to heaven and is at rest, free of pain. He lived a long, wonderful life, and his goodness will echo though our lives.
