Johnny Ray Hubacek

Johnny Ray Hubacek of Dallas, TX passed peacefully at home on May 18, 2026 at the age of 68. Johnny was born on November 30, 1957 in Dallas, TX to John Hubacek and Mary Jane Blazek and was the youngest of 5 brothers. Johnny married his wife on June 11, 1983 and raised a son and daughter together.

During his earlier years, he worked as a carpenter installing interior trim and hardware on newly built homes. He later spent more than a decade serving in the Department of Public Works - Street Operations Division for the City of Dallas where he retired to focus on his health.

Johnny loved music and played the accordion and saxophone. He won several accordion competitions and recorded 2 studio albums along with friends who shared his passion. In addition, he enjoyed attending polka dances and festivals with his family.

Some of his other hobbies were gardening, fishing, barbecuing/grilling, and working with his hands to fix cars, lawn mowers, tillers and string trimmers.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer L. Hubacek; grandson, Jonathan Hubacek and eldest brother, Elick Hubacek. He is preceded in death by his wife, Deborah L. Hubacek; son, John W. Hubacek; brothers, Alvin Hubacek, George Hubacek & Anthony Hubacek and parents, John & Mary.
