After his military service, Jose focused on achieving his dream of becoming a Dallas Firefighter. Through hard work and dedication he finally reached it by graduating from the Dallas Fire Academy on May 3, 2018, and becoming a licensed paramedic on October 13, 2020.
Above all his greatest achievement was becoming a Dad, with the birth of his children, Annelise Chavez, Julia Chavez, and Lucas Chavez. He continued to grow his family by welcoming his youngest child, Santiago Chavez, with his current wife, Melissa Chavez.
