He is survived by his parents: Jose Luis Mendoza Sr. and Carmen Julia Mendoza Siblings: Priscilla Mendoza, Jason Schaknowski, and Rutilia Castillo.
Jose was a part of a very loving family of 13 aunts/uncles who treated him as a son, and 17 cousins whom treated him as a brother and uncle to their kids. He was a true fighter through and through, with a huge heart always protecting those he loved. Always had a smile on his face as he loved to make others laugh and smile. May our handsome LJ Rest In Peace.
A visitation will be held on Thursday May 1st from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home, located at 6300 S R L Thornton Fwy Dallas, TX 75232.
The holy rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm.
The mass of burial for Jose will be held on Friday May 2nd at 10:00 am at St. Theresa Catholic Church, located at 2601 Singleton Blvd Dallas, TX 75212
Following the mass will be the procession back to Laurel Land for the burial.
The family has also created a GoFundMe incase anyone would like to donate to help with funeral arrangements.
