

He was born on January 7, 1954, in Guatemala to Jose and Amparo Perez. Jose was raised in Guatemala City, where he attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, graduating in 1972.
In 1974, he married the love of his life, Teresa, and together they built a beautiful family, raising four children. Jose was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. He especially cherished moments with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
Jose also enjoyed simple pleasures, like Saturday morning breakfasts with his wife and siblings. He had a lifelong passion for soccer and loved being outdoors. Known for his sense of humor, Jose had a special gift for making people laugh and an incredible ability to connect with anyone he met. His warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Amparo Perez, and his older sister, Lucia Hernandez.
Jose is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa Perez; his four children, Karla, Jose Jr., Julio, and Karina, along with their spouses. As well as his many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother and three sisters.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his love, laughter, and the joy he brought into the lives of others.
A visitation for Jose will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228 on April 2, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and a Funeral Service will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home on April 3, 2026, at 10:00 am.
