Joyce Berges

Joyce Berges age 82 of Desoto; TX was born July 27, 1932 in Donaldsonville, LA. She passed away peacefully at home Monday January 5, 2015 surrounded by her loving husband Arthur of 56 years. Joyce and Arthur owned and operated Custom Decals, Inc. from 1975 until they retired in 2010. Joyce was a devoted, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was very proud of her family and loved being Nana to her seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She loved holidays and family get togethers, any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She spent hours and sometimes days cooking and preparing for them. Joyce loved being at home. She enjoyed pursuing various projects such as working in her yard, sewing her children’s clothes, making curtains and pillows. In her earlier ventures she enjoyed crafts such as macramé and ceramics. Joyce was a very generous and selfless woman who never said no and was there for you no matter what the circumstance. There are no words to express the love and generosity that she shared with everyone she knew, she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband Arthur Berges of Desoto, TX; Three Daughters: Karen Webb and husband Wayne of China Springs, TX, Pam Easterling and husband Chris of Midlothian, and Tammy Sinclair of Desoto, TX; Seven Grandchildren: Jeffrey Blackwood, Jason Blackwood, Jami Sinclair, Christopher Sinclair, Tracy Bastardo, Whitney Easterling, and Cody Easterling. Four Great-Grandchildren: Trenton Brown, Mia Moreno, Anthony Moreno, and Joshua Sinclair. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents Francis and Pascal Fiorenza, Sister: Theresa Archer, Three Brothers: Tony Fiorenza, Joe Fiorenza, and Bill Fiorenza. Honored to serve as Pallbearers are her grandsons: Jeffrey Blackwood, Jason Blackwood, Christopher Sinclair, Cody Easterling; Great Nephews Cameron Archer and Stephen Fiorenza. The Berges’ Family will receive Family and Friends January 8, 2015 at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel at 6 P.M. till 8 P. M. for visitation and Rosary at 8 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be January 9, 2015 at 2 P.M. at St. Francis Catholic Church, Family will meet at Laurel Land Funeral Home January 9, 2015 at 1 P.M. to all drive in procession to St. Francis Catholic Church
