Joyce Juanita Simpson

Joyce Juanita Simpson, age 98, of Dallas, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. Joyce was born September 7, 1923 in Dallas, Texas to Ed and Kate Claunch. Joyce was raised in Dallas and graduated from Forest Avenue High School in 1941.

She married William (Dick) F. Simpson Jr. in 1942 and the couple had 2 children together. Joyce worked as a secretary for several Dallas businesses over the years and in her spare time, she enjoyed working and attending church at Our Savior Episcopal Church where she was active in altar guild, serving on the vestry many times, Daughters of the King and was in attendance at almost every service since around 1960. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Joyce's family and friends will always remember her as a lovely and caring woman who loved to serve others.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Dick Simpson. She is survived by loving and devoted husband of many years Rodger Warren, her two sons; Steve Simpson and wife Nancy, Scott Simpson, grandchildren; Russell Simpson and wife Heather, Randall Simpson and wife Tania, Savanna Simpson, Stevie Simpson, and 5 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Joyce will be held Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A funeral service will occur Monday, July 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A committal service will occur Monday, July 18, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
