I loved June dearly. She stayed with me after Rebecca was born and helped me get moved into my new house. I have so many stories, pictures, and memories with her, and yet our time together was so short. She was a very special step-mother and a wonderful godly woman. She loved unconditionally. My prayers are with all of the family.

My friendship with June began in 1998 at Mountain Creek Church.  Pastor Joann Summers introduced me to June, and within a few months, I was flying to Ireland with her to meet Ann's family in Ireland. (Thank you, June, for helping me knock on the door of my dream!)

Fast forward to 2015.  After living out of state for several years, I returned to Duncanville and Mountain Creek Church.  I reconnected with June, to my delight!  I was struggling through a divorce, shared custody of my little girl, financial challenges and loneliness.  She offered her listening ear, many TV dinners, slices of cheesecake, and hugs and prayers of faith.  Her friendship was a balm to my heart and soul!

In 2017, I happened to move to Richardson just minutes away from June's apt. at The Wellington.  Again, what a blessing to share many dinners with her in the dining room! She always treated Sophia and I as treasured guests at her table. :)  I also loved hearing her updates of all her children, grandchildren and their families. She would often comment how grateful she was for them and how God has answered so many prayers for them that she had prayed over the years.  

Despite her health challenges, she never once complained.  Even  throughout the months of being more confined to her apt, she never complained, but was an example to me with her joyful contentment and thankfulness to the Lord.  I think the classic movies and biographies helped, too! :)

I'm grateful for these precious memories of you, June, and I look forward to hugging you again in Heaven.  No more pain, no more tears!



June was a special woman to me. I first met her when I asked her for her daughters (Sue) hand in marriage. Our relationship grew from there. June believed in me when I just about was ready to give up and became more of a mother to me than a mother in-law. June from the very beginning loved me without conditions and welcomed me unconditionally into her family.  Over the pasy 12 years I have learned how my family an June's family have crossed paths over at least four generations. I wonder what took so long for us to connect.

We remember meeting her the first time in South Africa and sharing some holiday time, Dimonds & Kellys together making memories. I loved seeing her interact with her cute little grands; how she enjoyed them!  She took us in as part of the clan too, from that time on. She was beautiful, loving, and generous and we were honored to know her and be part of her life, even though most of the time we lived far away. Our love and prayers are with family as we all grieve the loss, this side of heaven. ~ Bill & Joy

June was a very sweet lady.  One day I was in the Ben Franklin store in Duncanville a few years ago and I ran into June.  We sat and had lunch together at the malt shop  since we were both alone that day.  I must say she loved her 3 kids and they were a blessing to her.  It was so nice catching up from our many years at Tyler St Methodist church

Mrs. Wilson was the most wonderful mother to her children and to her children’s friends. She was always happy and willing to transport us to Galveston in the VW hippie bus with the surfboard included. We would visit her mom who lived in Galveston and then to a fun day of surfing. She was usually up for anything we wanted to do. I remember her always working, a very hard worker. I know she will be greatly missed by her family. She lived a good life and is now at peace with loved ones in eternity.
