Kathryn Ann Parks

Born on February 27, 1959, in El Dorado, Arkansas, Kathy was the beloved daughter of Geraldine Ashworth and James Edgar. She was raised in El Dorado and graduated from South Arkansas, laying the foundation for a life devoted to helping others succeed.

In 1991, Kathy married the love of her life, Paul Parks. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and four wonderful children.

Kathy dedicated over eight years of her professional life as a College and Career Readiness Manager at Junior Achievement of Dallas, where she made a lasting impact on countless students and families.

Outside of work, Kathy cherished time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Bella. She loved reading, camping, going to the beach, and simply being surrounded by those she loved. Her warmth, generosity, and boundless kindness touched everyone who knew her.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Geraldine Ashworth and James Edgar.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Paul Parks; her daughters, Sonya (John) and Katelyn (Daniel); her sons, Greg and Jake; her cherished granddaughter, Bella; her brother, Roy (Tammy) Ashworth; three nieces; five great-nieces; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

Kathy will be remembered as a loving wife, a devoted mother, an adoring "Grammy," and a kind-hearted friend. Her legacy of love and compassion will live on in all who had the joy of knowing her.

A funeral service for Kathryn will occur Friday, September 12, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX. An interment will occur Friday, September 12, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX.
