Kathy Marie Ditmars

Kathy Ditmars, age 51, entered into rest on December 3, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on June 9th, 1969 in Dallas, Texas to Sue and James Reed. Kathy was raised in Dallas, Texas and attended Seagoville High School in 1988. She married Todd Ditmars in 1991 and the couple had two children. They later separated in 2000.

She operated as a Dispatcher for Dedicated Transportation Services where she worked for a little over a year.

In her spare time Kathy enjoyed spending time at the lake with her family, dirt track racing, and spending time with her grandson.

Her friends and family will always remember her as a woman with spirit who left a lasting, memorable impression on everyone who crossed paths with her in her life.

Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Sue Reed.

She is survived by her father, James Reed; daughters, BreAnna and Payton Ditmars; her longtime boyfriend, Edgar Trebotich; grandson, Jason Stanley; sister, Janet Reed; nieces, Brandy Pacheco, Kristen Delgado, Taylor Gonzalez, and Jaylee Reed; and nephews, Jeremy Reed-Emmons, and Bradley Reed.

Kathy was a loving mother, Gigi, sister, aunt, and friend. She worked hard to raise her daughters. She was a selfless person, always giving and helping others. Her home was always open to any friend in need and Kathy never met a stranger.

She fought a long, tough battle for 14 months, never giving up and giving it her all. She worked every day and never complained. Kathy made fighting cancer look easy.
