

Long-time Dallas resident Kenneth Boyce Casaday passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Houston, TX, on Dec. 26, 1930. At age 85, Ken had been battling Parkinson’s disease for most of the last decade.
A quiet but fiercely devoted family man, Ken is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jolene Woodson Casaday, brother Rick Casaday and wife Regina of Rockwall, sister Mary Joe Henson of Chandler, son Michael Casaday and wife Cheryl of Plano, daughter Karen Casaday Craycroft and husband Pete of Cedar Park, and son Kenneth Craig Casaday and wife Jamie of Austin, as well as grandchildren Drew Casaday, Katie Craycroft Head, Matthew Casaday, Gregory Craycroft, Brenna Craycroft Coats, Kayla Casaday, and two great-grandchildren.
Ken graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and North Texas State University. A veteran of the Korean conflict, Ken served the United States in both the Navy and the Air Force. He worked briefly for Wilson Sporting Goods before settling into a 37-year career at Texas Instruments.
A skilled outdoorsman, Ken spent most of his leisure time with family members and friends fishing at Lake Fork and Cedar Creek Lake, hunting ducks at Lake Tawakoni and Coffee Mill Lake, and hunting doves all over the state of Texas. He also loved gardening and playing golf in his retirement years with his friends from Woodrow Wilson.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 17 at 12:30PM at Scofield Memorial Church, 7730 Abrams Road, Dallas, TX 75231. Interment at Grove Hill Memorial Park at 3:30PM.
