Kenneth was raised in Oak Cliff, Texas, where he developed the strong work ethic and sense of community that would define his life. In 1966, he married the love of his life, Doris Juanita Mitchell, and together they built a life centered on family, dedication, and enduring love. Their marriage of 60 years was blessed with three daughters.
Kenneth worked as a glazier for more than 40 years, a career that reflected both his craftsmanship and his commitment to providing for his family. Outside of work, he found joy in hunting, fishing, and most importantly, spending time with those he loved.
He was a pillar of his neighborhood, known for mentoring local children—teaching them how to repair their bikes, sharing practical skills, and always offering a listening ear. Kenneth’s kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Above all, he was a proud and devoted “girl dad,” whose love and guidance shaped the lives of his daughters and grandchildren.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred Josephine Strong Holt and Troy Albert Holt; and his brothers, Donald Ray Holt and Jerrell Royce Holt.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Doris Juanita Mitchell Holt; his sister, Sharon Josephine Russell; and his three daughters: Kelly Couch and her husband Keith Couch, along with their daughter Katlyne and Kolleen; Nancy Richardson and her husband John Richardson Jr., along with their daughter Ashlee and husband Jeffrey Bynum, and Victoria (“Tori”); and Alisha Woolverton and her husband Zackery Woolverton, along with their children Laney and Gage. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Kenneth will be remembered as a kind and selfless man who was always willing to take care of others. His legacy of love, mentorship, and quiet strength will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.
