

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Central Baptist Church in Crandall, with Rev. John Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas. Friends are invited to come by the funeral home on Wednesday from noon to 6pm to sign the registry book.
Kenneth was born on June 12, 1931, in Point, Texas, to the late William E. and Nellie (Vance) Potter. He married Oleta Wheatley on September 15, 1951, in Rockwall.
Kenneth was a coach and teacher for Galveston ISD, Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD and lastly at Dallas ISD. He retired in 2004 after 48 years of coaching. Kenneth was also a devoted Christian and taught Sunday school class at Central Baptist Church in Crandall.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Jr.
Those left to cherish his memories and carry on his legacy are his wife of 60 years, Oleta Potter of Crandall; son, Larry Eugene Potter of Crandall; four grandchildren: Ashley, Michelle, Larry Lowell, and Kenny D.; sister, Lorene Hodge of Dallas; three sisters-in-law: Thelma Potter of Wichita, Kansas, Virginia Potter Lang of White Oak, and Sue Potter of Crandall; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and longtime friends.
