Funeral services will be held for La Delma Mae Jenkins Rowland Pope at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Point, Texas with Brother Roy Marta officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30p.m. in Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas. Pallbearers will be: Brian Campbell, Drew Campbell, Stephen Rowland, Brent Ziemann, Caleb Long and Brady Campbell. Honorary pallbearer will be Mason Ziemann. La Delma Pope, 86 of Point, Texas died on Monday, July 22, 2013 at Kindred Healthcare and Rehab in Grapevine, Texas. She was born in Wister, Oklahoma on August 17, 1926 to George Lee and Mary Esther Cagle Jenkins, who preceded her in death. She married Charles Franklin Rowland on January 12, 1950. He preceded her in death in 1992. She married Clarence Eugene “Gene” Pope on April 17, 1993. He preceded her in death May 9, 2013. Survivors include: sons: Danny Wade Rowland and wife Julia, Brian Pope and wife Melodye, Wesley Pope and wife, Vicki, Clarence Pope II and Timothy Pope; daughter, Beckie Denise Rowland Campbell and husband, Jeffery; brothers, Lee Roy Jenkins & wife Pattye and Jim Jenkins & wife Carolyn; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, plus numerous loving family and friends.
