On August 2, 2018, LaWanda LaQuetta Prather, of Irving, Texas, beloved wife of 59 years to Eugene Prather and loving mother of Tina Price and LaWanda Long went home to be with her Lord and Savior. LaQuetta is also survived by 4 grandsons; Chris Price, Jacob Price, Benjamin Price and Clint Long along with 1 great grandson Dylan Long. She was also beloved sister in law and Aunt. She was born on March 17, 1938 in McAlester, Oklahoma to David and Retta Goodman. She is proceed in death by her parents and siblings; Farrell Goodman, Joyce Ham, J.D. Goodman, Barbara Latham, Granville Goodman, Della Skinner and one niece, JoNell Latham. Eugene and LaQuetta have been longtime members of Oak View Baptist Church in Irving, Texas and have enjoyed many caring and loving friends while members of Oak View Church. Visitation will be from 9am to 9:30 with service at 9:30, August 6, 2018, at Oak View Baptist Church in Irving, Tx. Burial will be immediately after her services at Laurel Land funeral home in Oak Cliff, Texas.
