Lawrence “Larry” Earl Arnold, III, 71, of Duncanville, passed away on July 7, 2016 in Dallas, TX. Larry was born in Dallas on June 25, 1945 to Lawrence Arnold, Jr., and Mildred (Pace) Arnold. Larry is survived by his wife Alice, nine children; Tonya, Larry IV, James, Kenneth, Heather, Nicholas, Alyscia, Jeremiah and Ray, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and many friends.
Larry drove trucks over the road for many companies. Truck driving is what he did. He liked antique cars, hot rods and rearranged his schedule around NASCAR. He loved to go to auto shows and walked many a mile at swap meets. He was affectionately known as Grumpaw by two of his granddaughters.
Today, he is Bowling with Jesus and Rocking with Elvis in Heaven.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday July 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the High Pointe Baptist Church at 101 High Pointe Lane, Cedar Hill, TX 75104. In lieu of flowers, Larry’s wish was for donations be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital.
