Lawrence R. Atwood, Jr., born August 6, 1929 in Dallas and died April 15, 2012 in Dallas at age 82. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Dallas, belonged to the Masonic Lodge for more than sixty years and was a veteran of the Korean War. Preceded in death by son, Gregg and sister, Alma Lindstrom. Survived by wife, Yvonne Atwood; sons, Cris Atwood, his wife, Jill and their son, Tyler and Daryl Atwood, his wife, Jennifer and their children, Jonathan (Kayla), Bradley and Ashley Atwood; brothers, Wayne Atwood (Claudia) and Gary Atwood (Louise) and by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation 6-8 PM on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the funeral home. Funeral service 2PM Thursday, April 19, 2012 in the Chapel of Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas.
