Lebonia Catherine Brown was born in Maringouin, LA to the late Joseph Graffia and Margarita “Marie” Monescares on September 20, 1926. She passed away in Mesquite, TX on November 16, 2015. Lebonia comes from a large and beautiful Italian family which consisted of nine children. She was a woman of strong character who displayed that through her strong will. She was also a very independent person who loved her home and family. Among other things, Lebonia was very passionate about caring for children. She truly loved and enjoyed spending her time with children. Her love for them led her to a fulfilling career as a child caregiver. She is loved and will be deeply missed by all those whose heart she touched. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Hudson (husband Charles III); sons, Alvin Brown Jr (wife Brenda) and Wayne Brown (wife Jackqueline); grandchildren, Angela Hudson, Charles Hudson IV (wife Mary Ann), Michael Brown, Alvin Brown III (wife Sherrie), Thomas Brown and Amanda Brown; great-grandchildren, Angel Rangel, Joshua Rangel, Joshua Brown (wife Jo Lynn Andersen), Rebecca Brown and Matthew Brown; brother, Nunzio Graffia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She joins her beloved husband, Alvin Brown Sr; 7 siblings, Sam, Joseph, Tony, Nicholas, Vincenzo, Martin Leon, Francisco Graffia and a baby nephew, Mark Christopher Gilean Brown to be with Our Lord. Join the family is celebrating and remembering the life of Lebonia. Services will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home located at 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220. The visitation will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 4PM-8PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 AT 2PM. The committal will be held at Calvary Hill Cemetery with a reception to follow in the Calvary Hill Funeral Home reception room.
