Lewis Dale Cook passed away on Monday, June 19, 201,7 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on September 17, 1944, in Dallas, Texas, to Lew and Lois Cook. After high school, Dale joined the U.S. Air Force Band, where he rose to the rank of Sergeant. He then studied jazz at NTSU. In a musical career of almost 50 years, Dale toured with pianist Peter Nero, recorded with Severinsen, and played countless sessions for clients as diverse as ABC Sports and Bugs Bunny cartoons.
Dale was a 32nd degree Mason and past Master of Sam P. Cochran Lodge #1335. He was also a member of Hella Shrine and Scottish Rite.
He is survived by his wife Sigrid, daughter Tracy and her husband Craig Ross, granddaughter Sydney Ross, his mother Lois, and sister Nancy and her husband Mike Farmer.
