Lillie Marie Corder

Born on March 29, 1940 in Paris, Texas to Rennon B. Green and Maudie Mae Green, Lillie graduated from Rylie High School in 1958. She was raised in Paris and Dallas. She dedicated more than 35 years of her career as an administrative assistant at Robert C. Buckner Elementary School, where her strong and friendly demeanor left a lasting impact on colleagues and students alike.

In 1958, Lillie married Jules Stephen Corder, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage and a loving family life. Together, they had three children.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jules, her father Rennon B. Green, her mother Maudie Mae Green, and her great-grandson Daymon Jackson.

Lillie is survived by her brother Rennon Wesley Green and his wife Marcia, her sister Evelyn Mae Wilkins, her daughter Linda Smallwood and her husband Larry, her son Stephen Wesley Corder and his wife Rhonda, and her daughter Brenda Hood and her husband James. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Randy Oldfield and his wife Denise, April Hodges and her husband Edward, Samuel and Heather Corder, Sheryl Copeland and her husband John, Charee Stewart and her husband Chris, Tabitha Tanksley and her partner Cody, Brittany Hood and her partner Bradley, as well as 21 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother-in-law George Corder and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lillie had a passion for spending time with her family, cooking, reading, traveling, and decorating for all the different holidays. She cherished western movies and TV shows and enjoyed listening to Charlie Pride. Her loving, friendly, and strong personality was a guiding force in her family, keeping everyone in line when needed.

Visitation will be held on December 5, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home, located at 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. The funeral service will take place on December 6, 2025, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the same venue, followed by interment from 10:30 am to 11:00 am. Lunch will be served after the burial at Living Hope Baptist Church, 6310 Lyons Rd, Garland, TX 75043.

Pallbearers: Randy Oldfield, Samuel Corder, Joseph Collier, Wyatt Corder, Brody Corder, Hagen Stewart, Travis Stewart, Eli Copeland, Josiah Copeland, and Trenton Tanksley.

Lillie Marie Corder will be remembered as an amazing woman whose legacy of love and strength will continue to inspire those who knew her.
