Linda S. Morris

LINDA SUE (OWENS) MORRIS passed away July 5, 2012. Linda was born August 10, 1937, in Matt, Texas where she grew up and graduated from Matt High School. While at Matt she was a cheerleader and an active member of the Matt High School marching band. After graduation she attended North Texas State University in Denton, Texas at which time she met the love of her life Joe Morris. They were married 53 years living in Dallas, Texas where she enjoyed supporting her family as a housewife and mother. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Keith Morris, her parents Robert and Vera Owens, and brother Bobby Owens. She is survived by two sons: Quinton Morris and his wife Barbara of Greenville, South Carolina; Kevin Morris and his wife Zandra of Kingwood, Texas; and her four grandchildren Joshua, Melanie, Matthew and Ryan along with several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank all of those who loved Linda and helped care for her through their continuous thoughts and prayers especially Sherry Stegall who shared her gifts and talents unselfishly; and Caring Hands Care Home who provided for Linda during her final days. Visitation 1:00-2:00pm, Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Grove Hill Funeral Home, Dallas, Texas, with the service immediately following.
