Lionel will long be remembered for his unending kindness and generosity, especially with his time, and was a volunteer for many organizations including the Boy Scouts as a troupe leader, the Allen Fire Academy, Citizens On Patrol, The Special Olympics. Lionel also loved working with kids. He was a school bus driver for 12 years, a softball umpire for over 20 years, and also visited elementary school kids as Santa Claus.
Lionel was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Nolan Borel.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Bonnie; daughter, Jeanine Borel Schremp; son, Christopher Borel; grandchildren, Justin, Dexter, and Delilah; sisters, Ruby Woods and Marilyn Reynolds; numerous Nieces and Nephews, and many extended family members.
