Lisa Claudette Holacka, age 63, passed away on August 29th, 2025 comfortably at home in Nevada, Texas. She was born on July 13th, 1962 in Decatur, Illinois to Barbara and Bill Webster. Lisa was raised in Mt. Zion, Illinois and graduated from Mt. Zion High School in 1980. She married John Holacka in 1992 and the couple had two children.
Lisa began her career in the banking industry where she developed a passion for Human Resources. She sought a balance between the company’s fiscal responsibilities and her passion to care for employees. While raising a family and working full time, Lisa attended the University of North Texas and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts and Sciences with an emphasis in Conflict Resolution. She began her final job as an HR Generalist at Nelson Forensics where she greatly appreciated her employers’ genuine care.
Her life revolved around her two sons and their own growing families. Unfortunately, her grandmother phase was cut short by lung cancer. Lisa was a devoted Catholic whose faith shined bright. She enjoyed talking to people about the misunderstandings of the Catholic Church, and she loved seeing others seek Christ. All who met her were touched in some way. The “house dragon” (as she was affectionately known) will forever be missed but not forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Barbara Webster; sisters Marie Webster and Cecilia (husband Bill) Handt.
Lisa is survived by her husband John Holacka; sons, J Holacka (wife Kait) Burk and Ian Holacka and (wife Catie) Holacka; granddaughters, Hadley and Hayden. She is also survived by siblings Richard and Karin Webster, of Decatur, Illinois; Glen Webster of Findlay, Illinois; Shawn and Denise Webster of Sullivan, Illinois; Teresa Webster of Tacoma, Washington, and numerous nieces/nephews.
