Lizabeth loved her family and dedicated her life to supporting her sons. She was a wise person that loved board games and learning new things. She passed the time listening to scripture and watching old movies while knitting and doing stained-glass art projects. She enjoyed spending time with her mahjong community and going to tournaments. She was a warm and kind person who lived to help others.
She was adept at several languages and was an amazing teacher of English, Spanish, and French over 25 years in several Texas high schools. It suited her heart as a wise guiding soul, and her students always loved her. Her ability to reach and relate to students came from her humble understanding that the wise heart is not one that understands everything, but instead one that can tolerate the truth of not knowing.
Her integrity and her reverence for the Lord can be felt in one of her favorite bible verses, Psalms 19:14 "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." This was also her late mother's and father's favorite verse to pray on while blessing family meals.
Lizabeth is survived by an older brother Richard Von Hagel and his wife Eivor Von Hagel; sister-in-law Judy Von Hagel; younger brother Thomas Von Hagel; three sons William Bagot and his wife Crystal Bagot, Michael Bagot, and Samuel Bagot; granddaughters Kimberly Bagot and Adalynn Bagot; and dog La Belle. All of whom loved her and she loved genuinely.
Please join us celebrating her life Saturday afternoon September 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232. Flowers and prayers are greatly appreciated. She loved everyone she met, and we will miss her deeply.
