HALL, Lonnie Carroll “Papa” born December 25th, 1930 passed away peacefully on February 9th, 2017 at the age of 86. Lonnie was born and raised on a farm in Hughes Springs, TX. Lonnie and his family moved to Mesquite, TX in 1952 where he met his wife, Rose the following year. Lonnie worked for Sears for forty years until his retirement. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for the Dallas County Fire Department for twenty years, where he was loved and respected by many. Throughout his life, Lonnie received numerous recognitions and awards for his many achievements. Lonnie was a hard worker, loving and honest man. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose and his grandson, Christopher. Lonnie is survived by his older brother, Leonard; son, Curtis; two grandsons, Billy and Stephen; two granddaughters, Sissie and Dori; twelve great grandchildren, Leighann, Crystal, Shelby, Billy Jr., Debra, Chevy, David, Brandon, Tyler, Todd, Miranda and Nicholas; two great-great grandchildren, Tyler and Camrin; and many other loving family and friends.
