

Lorelei Gayle Lewin, 81, of Dallas, TX, passed away on January 10, 2013 at her residence. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew and loved her.
She was born in on September 9, 1931 to Lydia and Albert Bennett. She was from New York, New York. In her early years she launched a career as a professional singer and pianist. Due to her love of music and beautiful voice, she was invited to appear with Tony Bennett. She then married her sweetheart Jack Lewin and they were very close as a couple. She assisted her husband in the ladies fashion industry by using her knowledge, social skills and charm. All those who knew her called her Lori and she was a beautiful and caring person who had a soft voice and the love in her heart and soul came through her beautiful eyes. She was so feminine and lovely that people who just knew her a little felt the effect of her caring, and remembered her years later. She had patience, was very generous, and had wisdom and love for her family and friends. During her long illness she never complained. Her love shined a brilliant light and she was loved and will be dearly missed. Survivors include her daughter Loni Lewin-Cohen and son-in-law Josh, son Bruce Lewin and daughter-in-law Robbyn. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jamie and Tori Cohen, Eric and wife Hagar, Ryan and wife Jessica, and Jeffrey Lewin. She is also survived by her sisters Barbara Bennett and Jackie Bennett, including numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Lewin and her brother Ricky Bennett.
A Graveside Service will be on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Sparkman / Hillcrest funeral home. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to The Humane Society of the United States. Online condolences can be made at www.Sparkman-Hillcrest .com
