Louise Jeanette Rowland, age 94, Passed away on July 30, 2025, in Dallas, TX. She was born June 21, 1931, in Waxahachie, TX to Walter F. Davis and B. Louise Rodgers. Jeanette was raised in Waxahachie, TX and moved to Dallas, TX as a teenager and attended N.R. Crozier Tech Dallas High School, which is the oldest high school still standing in Dallas.
She married Sidney F. Rowland Jr. on December 27, 1974, and the couple had 3 children. She was a bookkeeper and secretary at Bankers Commercial Life and a Director of Bookkeeping at Marsh & McLennan companies where she worked for several years in Dallas, TX. In her spare time, she enjoyed vacationing especially in Kauai, HI, San Antonio, TX and Santa Fe, New Mexico. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, baking on the holidays, collecting Native Indian art from Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was an avid Democrat, a founding member of The Lake Highlands White Rock Democratic Club, member of Texas Democratic Women, Federation of Insurance Women of Texas and Dallas Association of Insurance Woman holding office of Director.
Her family and friends will always remember her as a strong-willed person, independent spirit and Matriarch of the family. She was a loving and wonderful mother. She never met a stranger and loved making new friends and loved to cook.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years Sidney F. Rowland Jr., stepfather John D. Archuleta, mother; B. Louise Archuleta, daughter; Marsha E. Chamberlain, sister; Dorothy H. Fordyce, nephew; Bradley Wood, in laws; Kathryn and Sidney F. Rowland Sr., sister in law; Diane Rowland
She is survived by her sons; Shane Rowland (Julie) and Dwyane E. Rowland, nieces; Cheryl Wise (David), Kaneita Coulston (Richard), Debra Watson (Mark), nephew; Larry Sparks, great nieces; Helaina Stonerock, Ashley Wise, Natalie Bruce, Tara Thompson, Courtney Watson, great nephews; Austin Wise, Zachary Perry and Joshua Trammel, as well as numerous extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank the Villages of Lake Highlands Nursing Home and Visiting Nurse Association (V.N.A.) Hospice for their compassion and love they showed to the family and especially Louise.
