Lucia Alicia Barron, age 75, passed away on March 9, 2024 in Duncanville, TX. She was born on September 15, 1948 in Mercedes, TX to Ascencion Martinez and Emilia Bocanegra. Lucia was raised in Mercedes, TX. She married Don Barron Jr. in 1968 and the couple had 2 children.
She was a housewife and Customer Service Representative. In her spare time Lucia enjoyed dancing, fishing, taking care of animals, listening to music and spending as much time with family and friends as she could and she loved bingo and shopping. Her family and friends will always remember her as a person who was very stubborn, feisty, set in her way and always got what she wanted.
Lucia is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Irma Fonseca, Gloria Fonseca, Julia Martinez Redondo, Tomasa Martinez Cano and Teresa Martinez Chacon; brothers, Pedro Almaguez and Francisco Martinez.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Melissa Ann Barron Paredes, Julie Barron Escalante; sisters, Sylvia Lopez and Celia Rodriguez and granddaughters, Aviana Loren Escalante and Avery Elise Escalante
