Lucia Idalia Beltran

Lucia was born on December 13, 1950 in Laredo, Texas to Ms. Antonia Y. Ortiz & Mr. Jesus A Ortiz, Sr.

She attended and graduated from Crozier Tech high school in 1969, and continued her profession for many years as a hairstylist. Later, she married and became a wife and mother and homemaker.

She enjoyed going to church, praising God with songs of worship. Spending time with her children, grandchildren are what she enjoyed the most. Her hobbies included fashion, making artificial arrangements, crochet, and singing.

Lucia was preceded in death by her mother, Antonia Ybarra-Ortiz and her father, Jesus Antonio Ortiz.

She is survived by her husband, Gabriel Beltran; sons, Moises Meza, Jr. and Trent G. Scott; daughters, Idalia Lara and Venessa G. Beltran; grandchildren, Paul A. Lara, Madeliene A. Lara, Gabriel A. Perez, Genesis M. Perez and Nathalia L. Beltran; her only surviving aunt, Amalia Ybarra-Garza; sisters, Rosemary Mariscal, husband Gabriel and Candace Ybarra-Patterson, husband Steve; brothers, Jesse Ortiz, wife Ophelia and Juan Ortiz, wife Helen; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
