Born in Houston, TX, on May 1, 1946, Mack was the eldest of four children to Mack Bride Cloud Jr. and Edith Winn Cloud. He graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1964 and went on to earn an associate degree in accounting from Dallas Baptist University.
Mack built a career at LoneStar Gas Company, where he not only found his passion for numbers but also his soulmate, Carolyn. In a true testament to their love, the two married on their lunch break on April 21, 1972, and promptly returned to work. After retiring from LoneStar Gas, Mack continued his dedication to his community by working for Duncanville ISD, where he later retired once more.
Mack was the beloved older brother to Beverly “Sissy” Ann, Toni, and Oswald "Rocky" Keith. While he cherished many roles in his life, none brought him more joy than being a grandfather and great-grandfather. He often said he "only thought he knew happiness" until he became "Pawpaw." His love extended beyond blood relations—he embraced all as family, from those who married in to the family, to neighbors who lived just upstairs.
Mack is survived by his two children, Steve and Dawn Cloud, six grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren—with one more on the way, whom he was already so proud of. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved Carolyn on March 8, 2025, with services beginning at 9:00 AM at Singing Hills Funeral Home, 6221 University Hills Blvd, Dallas, TX 75241.
Mack’s legacy of kindness, humor, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
