Margarita Garcia

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margarita Garcia, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devout Catholic. She left us on June 23, 2024, at the age of 87. Margarita was born in Ixtlán, Michoacán, Mexico, where she spent the first half of her life before moving to Dallas, TX.

Margarita was a pillar of strength and love, raising 10 amazing children with unwavering dedication. Her faith and commitment to her family were evident in every aspect of her life, instilling in her children the values of hard work, perseverance, and devotion to God.

Margarita's life was filled with joy as she watched her family grow. She was known as “Mama Mago” by her grandchildren. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious aroma of her cherished recipes. We will all miss her tortas, chile con carne, and fluffy pancakes.

A woman of deep faith, Margarita was a devoted member of the Catholic Church, where she found solace and strength throughout her life. Her prayers and guidance will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Margarita Garcia's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Elias, and one of her sons, Enrique, in eternal peace. Her legacy of love, faith, and determination will continue to inspire us all. She is survived by 5 siblings, 9 children, 22 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held in her honor at 10:30AM on July 1, 2024, at St. Edward Catholic Church 4104 Simpson St, Dallas TX 75246, followed by burial at Laurel Land Funeral Home 6300 R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232.

Rest in peace, Margarita. You will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Con profundo pesar, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Margarita Garcia, amada madre, abuela, bisabuela y devota católica. Nos dejó el 23 de junio de 2024, a la edad de 87 años. Margarita nació en Ixtlán, Michoacán, México, donde pasó la primera mitad de su vida antes de inmigrar a Dallas, TX.

Margarita fue un pilar de fortaleza y amor para sus 10 hijos maravillosos con una dedicación inquebrantable. Su fe y compromiso con su familia se convirtieron en todos los aspectos de su vida, inculcando a sus hijos los valores del trabajo duro, la perseverancia y la devoción a Dios.

La vida de Margarita estuvo llena de alegrías al ver crecer a su familia. Sus nietos la conocían como "Mama Mago". Su hogar siempre estuvo lleno de calidez, risas y el deliciosa aroma de sus recetas queridas. Todos extrañaremos sus tortas de carne en chile rojo, sus guisados de chile con carne, sus albóndigas, y sus familiares panqueques súper esponjosos.

Margarita, una mujer de profunda fe, fue miembra devota de la Iglesia Católica, donde encontró consuelo y fortaleza a lo largo de su vida. Sus oraciones, y orientación serán profundamente extrañadas por su familia y amigos.

La memoria de Margarita Garcia vivirá para siempre en los corazones de su familia y de todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla. Ahora está reunida con su amado esposo, Elías, y uno de sus hijos, Enrique, en la paz eterna. Su legado de amor, fe y determinación continuará inspirándonos a todos. Le sobreviven 5 hermanos, 9 hijos, 22 nietos y 7 bisnietos.

Se celebrará una misa fúnebre en su honor a las 10:30 AM el 1 de julio de 2024, en la Iglesia de San Eduardo, 4104 Simpson St, Dallas TX 75246, seguida por el entierro en Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232.
