Margarita was raised in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas and graduated from Sunset High School in 1974. She married Pedro Sanchez Perez in 1975, and the couple had three children.
Her family and friends will remember her as a loving and caring person. Her laughter was a light in every room. She was genuine, joyful and unforgettable. It lives on in the heart of all who knew her. She was a proud member of the first all-women’s ROTC unit at Sunset High School. She worked as receptionist for Republic Mail Service and The Salvation Army for over twenty-five years. She loved to support her children in school events such football, baseball and ballet folclorico.
She is preceded in death by her son, Fermin Perez. She is survived by her husband, Pedro Sanchez Perez; sons, Pedro Perez II and Adan Perez; sisters, Rosa Valenica, Esther Lira and Lindy Pina along with numerous nephews and nieces.
