Marguerite, beloved wife, mother & grandmother, friend to so many, and daughter of Floyd and Alma Killingsworth Thomas was born in Winfield, Tx 10/30/23. After growing up in Mt. Pleasant, she attended TSCW and graduated from the University of Texas, with a bachelors degree in English. After graduation, she worked at Southwestern Medical School, providing administrative support for Dr. Tinsley Harrison, and subsequently for Dr. L. Morris, at the Community Guidance Clinic. For decades, she assisted her husband in the Robert E. Daniel Insurance Agency.
Family was always Marguerite’s greatest concern and joy. During her active participation for 60 years in the University Park United Methodist Church, she was supportive of Robert’s leadership roles as well as her own studies of the Bible. Marguerite cherished her close ties with many thoughtful friends. She had been active in the Dallas Prayer Ministry, Mentor Club, Mary K. Craig Class, Mary Ann Scruggs Garden Club, and the Dallas Woman’s Club. Words cannot express the depth of Marguerite's personal impact on her family, friends and community.
The family express gratitude and deep appreciation to Dr. Paul Madeley and Dr. John Schumacher, as well as the staff of Baylor Hospital, for the diligent and exceptional care she received over decades.
She is predeceased by her parents, her sister, Ann Thomas; and her beloved husband for 60 years, Robert Daniel. Survivors are Dr. Thomas Daniel, San Diego, CA; Mary Ann Daniel, Santa Monica, CA; Robert Daniel, Jr., and wife Amy, Snowmass, CO; Grandchildren, Corinne Daniel, Lyle Daniel, Clayton Daniel and William Daniel.
