Age 91, passed away June 2, 2018 in Dallas, TX. She was born November 15, 1926 in Departamento De Rivera, Uruguay to Cirina Guedes. Maria was raised in The Departamento De Rivera, Uruguay and graduated as a Certified Cosmetologist and manicurist.
She worked as a line server at Luby’s for more than 20 years where she greeted everyone with her beautiful smile and made many friends.
In 1977 she married Gumercindo Victor Martinez and the couple enjoyed traveling and spending time together. In her spare time Maria, enjoyed swimming, traveling and caring for her pets.
Her family and friends will remember her as a beautiful, admirable, friendly, happy, and adventurous person.
Maria is preceded in death by her Loving Husband, Gumercindo Victor Martinez. She is survived by her Niece, Leticia Rodriguez, Brother-in-laws, Gilberto Martinez, Daniel Martinez & Porfirio Martinez; Sister-in-laws, Francisca Campos & Rosario Ramos; Several Nieces and nephews; Close friends, Marta & Pedro Galindo, Mariza Chavez, Ana & Washington Pallas.
Visitation will be held Sunday June 10, 2018 from 10:00AM till 4:00PM with a rosary scheduled for 3:00PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held 11:45AM Monday June 11, 2018 at Gonzalez Funeral Home. Interment will follow at DFW National Cemetery 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy. Dallas, TX 75211.

Maria Lelia nació el 15 de Noviembre de 1926 en Departamento De Rivera, Uruguay. Su mamá fue la señora Cirina Guedes. Maria creció en Departamento De Rivera, Uruguay y se graduó como Cosmetologa Certificada y como Manicurista.
Maria trabajo como line server en Luby’s por más de 20 años, donde les daba la bienvenida a todos con su hermosa sonrisa y la vida le dio la oportunidad de hacer muchos amigos.
En 1977 se casó con el señor Gumercindo Victor Martinez y la pareja disfrutó de viajar y pasar mucho tiempo juntos. En su tiempo libre, Maria disfrutaba de nadar, viajar y cuidar a sus mascotas.
Su familia y amigos siempre la recordarán como una persona hermosa, admirable, amigable, feliz, Y que fue un ejemplo por su fortaleza y gran Corazon.
A Maria se le adelantaron en su muerte; su amado esposo, Gumercindo Victor Martinez. Le sobreviven su sobrina, Leticia Rodriguez; sus cuñados, Gilberto Martinez, Daniel Martinez y Porfirio Martinez; sus cuñadas, Francisca Campos y Rosario Ramos; algunos sobrinos y sobrinas sus amigos cercanos, Marta y Pedro Galindo, Mariza Chavez, Ana y Washington Pallas.
El velorio se llevará a cabo el Domingo 10 de Junio de 2018 de 10:00AM hasta las 4:00PM , con un rosario programado para las 3:00PM en la Funeraria Gonzalez. El servicio funerario será a las 11:45AM el Lunes 11 de Junio de 2018 en la Funeraria Gonzalez. Inmediatamente después será el entierro en el DFW National Cemetery 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy.
