Maria Carmen Velasquez

Maria Carmen Velasquez, a beloved and wise woman, passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 74. She was a resident of Dallas, Texas. Maria was known for her generous and hard-working nature, truly one of a kind.

Maria was married to Jesus Diaz Velasquez on February 15, 1966. Together, they raised five children: Jesse Velasquez Jr, Juan Carlos Velasquez, Javier Velasquez, Martha Velasquez, and Mary Velasquez. Her family expanded to include ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.

Maria dedicated her career to executive coat check services at the Dallas Museum, where she was admired for her professionalism and dedication. In her personal life, she enjoyed ironing and shopping, and she was a devoted member of St Mary of Carmel Catholic Church. Her home was always impeccably clean and tidy, reflecting the pride she took in maintaining an immaculate environment.

Her constant presence and boundless love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She lived her life with quiet strength, unwavering kindness, and a heart that welcomed everyone. Her family and friends will forever remember her gentle spirit, her laughter, and the comfort she brought by simply being nearby. Though she is no longer with us, the love shared remains a lasting gift carried forward in the lives she touched.

Visitation will be held on February 11, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Gonzalez Funeral Home, located at 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247. A Rosary will also take place there on the same day from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on February 12, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St Mary of Carmel Church, 2900 Vilbig Road, Dallas, Texas 75212. Interment will follow at Laurel Land Funeral Home & Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6300 S R L Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

María Carmen Velásquez, una mujer querida y sabia, falleció el 4 de febrero de 2026, a la edad de 74 años. Era residente de Dallas, Texas. María era conocida por su naturaleza generosa y trabajadora, verdaderamente única.

María se casó con Jesús Díaz Velásquez el 15 de febrero de 1966. Juntos criaron a cinco hijos: Jesse Velásquez Jr, Juan Carlos Velásquez, Javier Velásquez, Martha Velásquez y Mary Velásquez. Su familia se amplió para incluir a diez nietos y cinco bisnietos, a quienes ella apreciaba profundamente.

María dedicó su carrera a los servicios ejecutivos de guardarropa en el Museo de Dallas, donde fue admirada por su profesionalismo y dedicación. En su vida personal, disfrutaba de planchar y hacer compras, y era una miembro devota de la Iglesia Católica St Mary of Carmel. Su hogar siempre estaba impecablemente limpio y ordenado, reflejando el orgullo que sentía al mantener un entorno inmaculado.

También se llevará a cabo un Rosario el mismo día de 6:30 pm a 7:30 pm. La Misa de Entierro Cristiano se celebrará el 12 de febrero de 2026, de 10:00 am a 11:00 am en la Iglesia St Mary of Carmel, 2900 Vilbig Road, Dallas, Texas 75212. El entierro seguirá en Laurel Land Funeral Home & Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6300 S R L Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232, de 12:00 pm a 1:00 pm.
