Maribel Cortez

Maribel was born in Mexico City on February 8th, 1970 to Olga and Edmundo Flores. She completed high school and went on to complete a degree in early child education and later became a preschool teacher. Maribel married Hernan Cortez on December 26th, 1990 and were married for 25 years.

Maribel worked as a house keeper/ nanny for the Razor Groves Cochran family for 25 years. She enjoyed reading, writing, baking, and spending quality time with her children. She was actively involved in the Parent Association at Uplift Williams.

She is preceded in death by Edmundo Flores, Edmundo II Flores, Enrique Flores, and Hernan Cortez.

Maribel is survived by Crystian Cortez, Samantha Cortez, Olga Gallegos, Patricia Flores Silva, Ana Flores Timmons, Rafael Flores, Marcos Flores, and other family and friends.

Mass will be held at the Calvary Funeral Home at 3 p.m. on December 18th.
