

She was born January 23, in Chicago at St. Mary’s hospital, daughter of the late Ernest and Virginia Kiefer. Marilyn grew up in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest side. She graduated from Schulz High School in 1956. She married the love of her life, John in 1957 in Chicago. They moved to Woodridge, Illinois, in 1961 and then resided in Carrollton, Texas, since 1975.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John Willard Kramer; Parents, Ernest and Virginia Kiefer; Sister-in-law, Marilyn Kramer; Brother and Sister-in-law, Joseph and Diane Kramer; Niece Pat Kramer and great grandchild Ty Berry.
Marilyn loved movies, puzzles, board games, conversation, dancing, water skiing, trips, dining out, holidays, especially when celebrated with family. She also enjoyed vacations in Hayward, WI, where she could sit on the deck and watch the lake activity and listen to the loons. She cherished every minute she could spend with her children and grandchildren.
Marilyn is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law; Ken Kramer and Leslie Vickers of Hobbs, NM, Jim and April Kramer of Magnolia, and Brian and Melissa Kramer of Lubbock. Several grandchildren; Christina Berry, Seanna Kramer, Cory Kramer and wife Sarah, Lexi Pope, John Kramer, and Logan Kramer. Great grandchildren; Bryan Berry, Alexis Berry, Jisela Aldaco, and Aniya Kramer. Her Sister and brother-in-law, Ray and Karen Ketterer of Woodridge, IL. Nephews; Gary Ketterer and wife Tracey, and Joe Kramer and wife Susan. Nieces; Kathi Kramer Turner and husband Jay, and Beth Kramer. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
A Graveside Funeral service will be held 1p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at
Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home in Dallas.
