Mario Alberto Sanchez Sr.

“Hard working hands are now at rest.” Mario Alberto Sanchez, 57, of Dallas, Texas passed away on May 9, 2018. He was born on May 16,1960 in Laredo, Texas to Santos and Yolanda Cantu Sanchez. Mario attended school in Laredo, Texas and worked as a produce manager and entrepreneur. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, fishing, playing a round of golf and showing off his outdoor cooking skills for his family and friends. Mario is preceded in death by his parents, Santos and Yolanda Sanchez and siblings, Sonia G. Sanchez, Santos Sanchez, Jr. and Tomas Sanchez. He is survived by his loving and devoted companion of 23 years, Bertha Gomez; children, Mario Sanchez, Jr., Sarah Beth Dixon and husband Michael and Ryan Dane Lemons; Bertha’s children who he loved like his own, Marisa Gomez Silvas and husband, Bernard, Carissa Gomez, Salina Gomez, Denise Gomez & Jonathan Gomez; grandchildren, Madilynn Grace Dixon, Ryan Jordan Lemons, Alexander Bryce Lemons and Saige Phoenix Lemons; siblings, Ernesto Sanchez and wife, Martha, Y. Leticia Vigil and husband, Emeterio, Jose I. Sanchez, Ana Laura Sanchez, Carlos Sanchez and wife, Clara, Adriana Sanchez, Rebecca Isaak and husband, Howard, Maria S. Gonzales and husband, David and Roberto Sanchez wnd wife, Alejandra. Mario will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:00am at Grove Hill Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restland Cemetery.
