Marion grew up in Dallas, Texas and was a member of the Thomas Jefferson High School Class of 1960. She attended Monticello College in Godfrey, Illinois and married Richard Liebman Jr. on August 12, 1961. Together they had three children. In 1972, Marion met her “Italian cowboy,” Tom Perini. They married in 1975 and moved to Buffalo Gap, Texas. Together they had one daughter. Marion and Tom ran a successful catering business and she was an active member of the Abilene Junior League. After moving back to Dallas, Marion served on both the PTA board and the Board of Trustees of the Winston School where her youngest daughter Caroline graduated from. She was a long-time member of Temple Emanuel.
n addition to her devotion to family, Marion had a great passion for travel. She loved visiting Hawaii to see the whales and taking cruises with friends. She was well-known for her cooking skills, particularly for her famous apple crisp, which was always in great demand by family and friends. Animals played an important role in Marion’s life. From early childhood, she maintained a houseful of well-loved cats and dogs she had rescued and she passed that love of animals on to all of her children.
Marion was always the life of the party and the perfect host, our “Auntie Mame”. She will be remembered for her big personality, her great smile and the ease with which she made new friends. Her graceful style and willingness to stick her neck out when necessary, her “can-do” attitude and cheerful face will be missed. She will always be an MVP – a Most Valuable Parent – to her children.
Marion was predeceased by her parents, I.A. and Cecile Victor and her brother I. Arnold Victor III. She is survived by her sister Carol Ann Luby and husband Dan; daughters Alice Liebman Angier and husband Robb, Julie Liebman Presnall and husband Craig, Caroline Perini, son Eric Victor Liebman; grandchildren Adleigh Liebman and Emory Liebman, Hailey Presnall and Peyton Presnall; niece Dana Luby Roark, nephew Mark Victor Luby, three great-nieces, and one great-nephew, all of Dallas-Ft.
