Marion Elizabeth Platt

Marion Elizabeth Platt, 92, of Dallas,died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday,September 16th, 2015, after a long illness.She was deeply loved by her family and will be greatly missed. She was born to the late William and Marion Roziskey, Oct, 26, 1922, in Rochester,NY. Marion was a graduate of Monroehigh school where she met her future husband. Marion and Bob were married Sept.16,1944 in Washington D.C.Marion went on to earn a BA in Historyfrom the University of Rochester.Afterherhusband’s military career, the familyrelocated to Texas in 1970, eventually settling in Nacogdoches. Marion movedto Dallas in the spring of 2011 to becloser to family.Marion was preceded indeath by her son Kerry Thomas Platt and her husband of 51 years Col. Robert M.Platt, USMC (ret).She is survived by her children William Platt and wife Marilynof Dallas, Christopher Platt and wife Leeof Maryland, and Wendy Slavens and

husband Del of Virginia. She is also survived by her grandchildren Amanda,Andrew, Dawn, Kathryn, Elizabeth,James, and Alexander. We are grateful for

the loving care given to her in the last year of her life by Autherine Lomax and M a r y K i n g .They were a Godsend.Services to be held in Nacogdoches on a date to be determined. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
